Apple’s long-rumored Home Hub could arrive in more colors than previously expected. A new leak suggests the device may launch in four different finishes. A report yesterday claimed Apple would unveil the Home Hub, also called HomePad, on October 13. It also suggested the smart home device would only be offered in Apple’s standard gray aluminum finish.
However, a new leak points to a wider color selection. According to a tipster on X, the Home Hub could come in Silver, Space Gray, Starlight, and Rose Pink. The tipster reportedly found Photo Face setup screens linked to the upcoming device. These screens allegedly match the four colors planned for the Home Hub or HomePad.
Apple’s Home device may come in four finishes: Silver, Space Gray, Starlight, and Rose Pink.
The Photo Face setup screen picks its preview art based on the hardware color the device reports.
The device’s housing may also show in setup screens once device assets are available.
These finishes previously appeared in J490 setup code in macOS 26.7 RC1. @MacRumors reported them as “mystery colors” in August.

The color options would give Apple’s new smart home device a more varied look. They could also make it easier for users to match the device with their home interiors. Apple may also introduce a colorful version of its smaller smart speaker. The HomePod Mini 2 is rumored to launch on October 13 alongside the Home Hub.
A recent leak claimed the HomePod Mini 2 would come in pink, white, green, blue, and “midnight.” The latter is expected to be a very dark gray finish. Meanwhile, the Home Hub is expected to feature a 6-inch square display. The screen could sit on a metal arm connected to a round speaker base.
The design reportedly resembles Apple’s iMac G4, which debuted more than two decades ago. However, the Home Hub is expected to focus on smart home controls and connected services. Apple has not officially confirmed the Home Hub, its colors, or an October 13 launch date. These details should therefore be treated as leaks until the company makes an announcement.
