Pakistan’s goods exports recorded a sharp increase in September 2026, rising 17.6% year-on-year to $2.94 billion from $2.50 billion a year earlier. Exports also increased 16% month-on-month from $2.53 billion in August, according to data shared by Adviser to the Finance Minister Khurram Shehzad.
During the first quarter of FY2026-27, Pakistan’s goods exports reached $8.42 billion, marking a 10.8% increase compared with the same period last year. The country exported around $825 million more goods during the quarter.
Export growth was recorded across major sectors. Agri and food exports increased 23% year-on-year during the quarter, while manufacturing, mining and energy exports rose 17% and textiles and apparel exports grew 6%. Agri and food exports posted particularly strong growth of 62% in September, while manufacturing exports increased 35% from August.
Shehzad said the sustained growth in exports was encouraging despite regional challenges and would help increase foreign exchange earnings. He added that stronger exports support Pakistan’s goal of achieving export-led and sustainable economic growth.
