The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar has postponed all Matric Supplementary Examinations (Part-II) 2026 papers scheduled from October 7 to 10, in view of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march.
The Controller of Examinations said revised dates for the postponed papers will be announced later. Papers scheduled after October 10 will not be affected and will be held according to the date sheet already issued.
The supplementary examinations are meant for candidates who failed one or more subjects in the annual matriculation examinations held earlier this year or want to improve their marks.
In those examinations, Islamiat recorded the highest failure rate among students in both the 9th and 10th grades, making it the most challenging subject for candidates. Around 10,000 students failed the subject.
According to the annual results for 2026 announced by the board, a total of 97,950 students appeared in the 9th grade examinations, of which 57,847 were promoted to the 10th grade.
