The Lahore Education Authority has launched a crackdown on fake student enrolments, directing school heads to submit affidavits confirming that their institutions have not fraudulently registered students.
Under the directive, school heads must provide certificates verifying their current enrolment figures to their respective Secondary Education Officers. The move aims to ensure accurate student records and hold school administrations accountable for reporting genuine admissions.
The authority has warned that school heads found involved in fake enrolments will be held responsible and may face disciplinary action. The crackdown comes as schools have been given until October 31 to increase student admissions.
Reports suggest that some schools allegedly registered students fraudulently to meet official admission targets. The authority’s latest measures seek to prevent inflated enrolment figures and ensure that schools submit authentic data.
School heads have been instructed to comply with the requirements and submit the necessary documents to the relevant education officials as the authority steps up scrutiny of admission records ahead of the deadline.
