Redmi has revealed more details about the K100 ahead of its launch in China on October 26. The new phone will join the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, which were unveiled in August.
The Redmi K100 will feature a dual rear camera setup, led by a 50MP Light and Shadow Hunter 800 main sensor. The sensor measures 1/1.55 inches and comes with an f/1.68 aperture. These details were shared through Redmi’s official Weibo account.
The company has also confirmed an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. In addition, the phone will include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner built into the display.
In another Weibo post, Redmi revealed more hardware details. The K100 will feature symmetrical dual speakers, seven antennas for improved connectivity, and an 0815 X-axis linear motor. The motor is designed to deliver better haptic feedback during use.
Redmi had previously confirmed that the K100 will pack a large 10,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging. The phone will also feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display.
The Redmi K100 will be available in three colors, including a new Firefly Green option. Pre-orders are already open through Xiaomi’s official website in China ahead of the October 26 launch.
