Oppo’s upcoming Reno17 Pro could feature a 200MP main camera, a 7,000mAh battery, and MediaTek’s Dimensity 8550 Super chipset. According to the source, the phone will also have a compact 6.32-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The leaked specifications closely match the global Oppo Reno16 Pro. However, the Reno17 Pro could offer a larger battery and new photography features. Its camera setup is expected to include a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, and a 50MP selfie camera.
A periscope camera remains uncommon in compact phones, although Oppo already offers one on the global Reno16 Pro. The Reno17 Pro’s battery could reach around 7,000mAh, compared with 6,700mAh on the global Reno16 Pro and 6,000mAh on its European version. Charging speeds have not been revealed yet.
Meanwhile, another source claims the Reno17 series will focus on a trendy design and 200MP cameras. The lineup could also introduce new tools for live photos, live videos, and photo editing. Oppo is reportedly retaining the dedicated AI button as well.
Earlier reports suggested Oppo was evaluating teleconverter support for the Reno17 series. This feature is currently limited to the company’s Find X lineup. However, it remains unclear whether the new camera feature will make it to the final devices.
The Reno17 series is expected to launch in China in November with ColorOS 17, based on Android 17. The lineup could reach India by early January 2027, although the Reno17 Pro may not be included in the Indian launch.
In China, the Reno17 series will compete with the Honor 700 series and the vivo S70 lineup. Both competing smartphone families are also expected to arrive next month.
