The Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment (BEOE) lists thousands of foreign job opportunities on its official website and Facebook page, allowing job seekers to check, verify, and search for overseas positions offered by licensed recruiting agencies.
According to media reports, under the Emigration Rules of 1979, the Protector of Emigrants grants licensed agencies recruitment permission for a fixed duration.
The permission is issued only after the foreign employer’s job demands are verified by three bodies: the Pakistani embassy in the host country, the host country’s ministry of foreign affairs, and that country’s embassy in Pakistan.
Each permission order carries a unique Permission Tracking Number (PTN), which agencies must state in all job advertisements. Once permission is granted, the job details appear on the BEOE website under the assigned PTN for the length of the recruitment drive.
The listing is removed automatically after all advertised positions are filled. The recruiting agency bears full responsibility for the workers it recruits. Job seekers and workers can file complaints directly with the BEOE or the relevant Protector of Emigrants.
