Elden Ring: Path of the Elden Lord community quest has officially arrived. Consequently, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware are inviting players back to the Lands Between for a brand-new adventure. Players do not have to wait, as the highly anticipated quest is available to play right now.
A few months ago, Bandai Namco announced a special series of in-game community quests to mark the release of Elden Ring on the Nintendo Switch 2. Path of the Elden Lord currently stands as the third of four major community quests designed to round out 2026. Therefore, it provides a perfect excuse for veteran players to jump back into the game, especially if they previously dropped it for other titles.
Elden Ring: Path of the Elden Lord Community Quest
The event officially began on November 2 and will run continuously until November 28. Unlike standard solo missions, this event requires massive teamwork. Players must work together across all platforms to collectively complete four specific milestones.
Here are the exact objectives the community must reach:
| Quest Objective | Target Milestone |
| Summon Warrior Jar Alexander | 50,000 times |
| Obtain Rune Arcs | 3,000,000 |
| Obtain Legendary Armaments | 500,000 |
| Upgrade Standard Spirit Ashes to +8 | 100,000 |
Exclusive Event Rewards
If the community successfully completes all four objectives, everyone unlocks exciting prizes. Specifically, players will earn a new commemorative artwork designed by the artist vladinsk. Furthermore, participants will receive a special Warrior Jar Alexander Twitch Chat Badge.
Historically, the Elden Ring community always rises to the challenge. In fact, players already successfully met the goals for the first two quests in this ongoing series.
For reference, here is the complete 2026 community quest schedule:
| Community Quest Name | Event Dates |
| Path of the Tarnished | September 1 – September 28 |
| Path of the Cardinal Sin | October 1 – October 28 |
| Path of the Elden Lord | November 2 – November 28 |
| Path of Shadows | December 1 – December 28 |
The Future of Elden Ring
The original Elden Ring launched in 2022 to massive critical and commercial success. Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin collaborated to successfully translate the classic FromSoftware Soulslike formula into a sprawling open world. Later, FromSoftware released Shadow of the Erdtree. Critics quickly hailed this follow-up as one of the greatest video game expansions of all time.
However, the series proved it isn’t entirely infallible. In 2025, a three-player spin-off named Elden Ring Nightreign received a slightly colder reception.
Looking ahead, fans can still expect ongoing support. Earlier this year, FromSoftware confirmed its intention to deliver more updates for Elden Ring. While the studio did not specify the exact scale of these upcoming additions, small updates remain far more likely than extensive content drops. Still, seeing this wildly popular game receive dedicated support years after its initial release remains a massive win for gamers everywhere.
