The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has postponed the Intermediate Second Annual Examinations 2026 Computer Science papers in Jhelum district, originally scheduled for Tuesday, November 10. The papers will now be held on Monday, November 30, 2026.
According to media reports, the board rescheduled the papers on the recommendation of the Jhelum deputy commissioner, citing the expected visit of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to Jhelum and Pind Dadan Khan on November 10.
In a letter to the BISE Rawalpindi chairman, the deputy commissioner said the district administration was making extensive administrative, security and protocol arrangements for the visit.
The letter stated that the resulting deployment of administrative and security personnel made it unfeasible to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted conduct of the examination. It requested that the papers be rescheduled to avoid inconvenience to students and to ensure the smooth conduct of both the examination and the VVIP visit.
BISE spokesman Arslan Cheema said Controller of Examinations Mubashir Saeed issued a notification announcing the revised schedule. The change applies to both the morning and evening groups.
The controller clarified that Computer Science papers will be held as scheduled at all examination centres in the other districts under the Rawalpindi board’s jurisdiction.
On November 30, the morning group’s paper will be held in the morning session and the evening group’s paper in the evening session, at the previously assigned examination centres. The board will issue new roll number slips to students. Previously issued slips will remain valid.
