ABHI Microfinance Bank posted a profit after tax of PKR 1.502 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2026. That compares with PKR 1.019 billion for the full year ended December 31, 2025. The result also marks a sharp increase from PKR 200.2 million recorded during the same period last year. As a result, the bank has already surpassed its entire 2025 profit halfway through 2026.
The strong performance came as the bank expanded its balance sheet and increased its earning assets. Higher deposits, improved recoveries, stronger lending, and tighter risk controls also supported the results.
ABHI Microfinance Bank’s total assets crossed PKR 100 billion during the first half of 2026. Assets reached PKR 101.55 billion on June 30, up around 32% from PKR 76.80 billion at December 31, 2025. Gross advances also grew during the period, reaching PKR 50.07 billion. That compares with PKR 38.16 billion at the end of 2025, showing continued growth in the Bank’s lending portfolio.
Deposits increased to PKR 86.19 billion from PKR 69.09 billion during the same period. The roughly 25% rise points to stronger deposit mobilization and a growing customer base. Revenue also recorded strong growth during the first six months of 2026. It reached PKR 10.52 billion, up 80.1% from PKR 5.84 billion during the corresponding period of 2025.
The bank has already generated around 74% of its full-year 2025 revenue. Revenue stood at PKR 14.25 billion for the entire year, highlighting the pace of growth in 2026. ABHI also strengthened its capital position during the period. Shareholders’ equity rose to PKR 3.11 billion from negative equity of PKR 397 million at December 31, 2025.
The improvement came from strong profitability and the recognition of PKR 2.0 billion as an advance against the issuance of shares. Meanwhile, asset quality and credit risk management remained key priorities.
The Bank continued investing in technology, infrastructure, digital services, people, and control functions. These investments are aimed at supporting its expansion while maintaining operational discipline. Its financial statements for the six months ended June 30, 2026, received an unmodified audit opinion. Baker Tilly Mehmood Idrees Qamar, Chartered Accountants, issued the independent audit report.
The auditors said the financial statements present a true and fair view of the Bank’s financial position and performance. They also conform with applicable accounting and reporting standards in Pakistan. These include the Companies Act, 2017, the Microfinance Institutions Ordinance, 2001, and directives from the State Bank of Pakistan.
With profit already above its full-year 2025 level, ABHI enters the second half of 2026 from a stronger position. Its growing deposits, larger lending portfolio, and improved equity provide a stronger base for further growth.
