As artificial intelligence reshapes economies, industries, and the future of work, ensuring women’s leadership in this transformation has become a national imperative. AI for HER is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication (MoITT), launched under the able leadership of the Honourable Federal Minister for IT & Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, to empower women across Pakistan to actively participate, lead, and innovate in the AI-driven digital economy.
Hosted as a dedicated pavilion at INDUS AI Week 2026, scheduled for 9–10 February 2026, AI for HER reflects the Government of Pakistan’s strong commitment to inclusive digital growth, gender equity, and future-ready skills development. The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with internationally recognized partners, including UN Women, the World Bank, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the British Council, GSMA, and leading industry stakeholders.
The AI for HER Pavilion brings together students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and aspiring innovators to engage directly with Pakistan’s AI vision and the global technology ecosystem. Through inspiring speaker sessions and expert panel discussions, participants will gain practical insights into emerging AI careers, evolving skills demand, and the role women can play in building responsible, inclusive, and high-impact AI solutions. These sessions are designed to build clarity, confidence, and direction for women at different stages of their professional journey.
Complementing these discussions are high-energy Power Talks that deliver focused, actionable guidance on skills, leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation. These short, impactful sessions are designed to provide clear takeaways that participants can apply immediately beyond the event.
Innovation and entrepreneurship are showcased through a dedicated women-led start-up platform, where female founders present AI-enabled solutions across key sectors such as healthcare, education, fintech, climate, and sustainability. This space enables meaningful interaction with investors, mentors, ecosystem partners, and policymakers, turning visibility into opportunity.
The pavilion also features interactive career discovery and engagement spaces, including the Career Mapping Wall, where participants can explore future AI roles aligned with their interests and aspirations. These spaces are designed to encourage reflection, connection, and confidence, while celebrating women’s growing presence and leadership in technology.
