Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has released the entry test schedule for MS, MPhil and PhD admissions for the Spring 2026 semester. The university will conduct faculty-wise tests in the last week of February, with applications open until February 17.
According to the university administration, entry tests will begin from February 23 and continue till February 26.
The Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies will hold its test on February 23. The Faculty of Education will conduct its test on February 24, followed by the Faculty of Social Sciences on February 25. The Faculty of Sciences will organize its entry test on February 26.
All tests will be conducted at 9:00 am simultaneously at AIOU’s main campus in Islamabad and regional centers in Gilgit-Baltistan, Multan, Karachi and Quetta. Candidates have the option to select their nearest test center for convenience.
The university is accepting online applications for MS, MPhil and PhD programs until February 17, 2026. Applicants can download the prospectus and complete the admission process through the official AIOU website.
University officials confirmed that candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for interviews before final selection.
“The university will ensure merit and transparency throughout the testing and interview process,” the administration stated.
AIOU is one of Pakistan’s largest public sector universities offering distance and regular programs across multiple disciplines. Every semester, thousands of students apply for postgraduate and doctoral programs, making the entry test a crucial step in the admission process.
The university has emphasized strict merit-based selection to maintain academic standards in advanced research programs. The Spring 2026 admissions are expected to attract a large number of candidates from across the country.
