In a recent earnings call and interviews, Zelnick expressed confidence in the game's progress while acknowledging the inherent risks associated with such a major launch. Take-Two reported in its third-quarter financial results for the period ending December 31, 2024 that GTA 6 will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S during Fall 2025. Zelnick, in an interview with IGN, stated that while “there’s always a risk of slippage,” the company feels “really good” about the planned timeline. The gaming community highly anticipates GTA 6 as one of the most awaited releases in history since the premiere of the first trailer in December 2023. The anticipated release schedule of GTA 6 remains unchanged according to Take-Two officials despite continuous delay speculations. The ultimate decision regarding any potential delay for GTA 6 stands to be made in May 2025 according to former Rockstar developers' statements.
