Apple has started rolling out the first public betas of iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3 to members of its beta program, following yesterday’s developer release. The update brings several new features designed to improve device connectivity, customization, and cross-platform usability.
One notable addition in iOS 26.3 is a simplified way to transfer data to Android devices, making it easier for users who switch platforms. This feature mirrors Google’s ongoing efforts to improve data migration from iOS to Android.
In the European Union, Apple has introduced Notification Forwarding for third-party wearables. This feature, mandated by EU regulations, allows notifications to be sent from an iPhone to non-Apple devices. However, Apple notes that enabling Notification Forwarding will prevent notifications from appearing on an Apple Watch.
The update also adds new weather-themed wallpapers in a dedicated Weather section of the wallpaper gallery. Previously, these were part of a combined Weather & Astronomy section, which has now been split into separate Weather and Astronomy categories.
