Apple has released iOS 26.1 Beta 2 for iPhones, alongside new developer betas for its other operating systems. The iOS 26.1 Beta 2 update includes minor UI design changes, performance improvements, and several bug fixes.
A small but noticeable tweak appears in the Clock app, where Alarms and Timers now feature a new “Slide to Stop” button instead of the traditional tap-to-stop option.
Apple has also added a new toggle under Privacy & Security settings. This feature allows users to automatically download and install essential security patches, improving device protection with minimal effort. The Fitness app now supports custom workout creation, offering users more flexibility in designing exercise routines.
Meanwhile, according to the source, iPadOS 26.1 Beta 2 reintroduces the Slide Over multitasking feature. It also brings a new control for adjusting input gain when using external microphones, enhancing the iPad’s audio customization options.
In addition to iOS and iPadOS updates, Apple rolled out Beta 2 versions of macOS 26.1 Tahoe, watchOS 26.1, tvOS 26.1, and visionOS 26.1. These updates collectively aim to refine performance, address bugs, and prepare Apple’s ecosystem for upcoming public releases.
