Apple is making Major League Soccer more accessible. Starting with the 2026 season, all MLS matches will stream on Apple TV at no additional cost. Currently, fans must pay $15 per month for an MLS Season Pass, even if they already subscribe to Apple TV for $13 a month.
The new arrangement means Apple TV users can watch every regular-season match, the MLS All-Star Game, the Leagues Cup, the Campeones Cup, the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, and more. The current MLS Season Pass subscription will end after the 2025 season.
Apple previously tested free MLS access during the 2025 playoffs for Apple TV subscribers. This included not just live matches but also studio programming and on-demand content, signaling a broader shift in its sports strategy.
Apple has also made other major sports available at no extra cost. Friday Night Baseball streams for free, and Apple holds exclusive U.S. broadcast rights for Formula 1 races. These offerings likely influenced the decision to retire the MLS Season Pass.
However, the $13 monthly subscription for Apple TV may not remain unchanged for long. The announcement first appeared on ESPN, highlighting tensions in the streaming and TV distribution market, particularly amid Disney’s dispute with YouTube TV.
