Apple’s 36th annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place from June 9 to June 13, 2025. This year’s event will feature a hybrid format, combining both online sessions and labs with an exclusive in-person component at Apple Park.

While developers from around the world can participate remotely, a select group of invited developers and students will attend in person on June 9, when the event kicks off with the highly anticipated keynote at 10:00 p.m. PKT.

All WWDC content, including developer sessions and lab activities, will be livestreamed for worldwide developer access through the Apple Developer app, the Apple website, and YouTube platforms. The WWDC 2025 conference enables developers to acquire knowledge directly from Apple engineers who share development insights for improving their app and game features.

Upcoming Apple Products at WWDC 2025

While WWDC is primarily a software-focused event, Apple is also expected to unveil or provide updates on several exciting products over the course of the year. Here are the most anticipated Apple products for 2025:

  1. iPhone 17 Series: Every year, Apple unveils new iPhones in September, and 2025 will be no different. This year, Apple will release three new iPhone variants: the iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Air, and the iPhone 17 Pro. The iPhone 17 Air will reportedly have an extremely small form factor, while the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will receive new rear-facing camera modules.
  2. Apple Watch Series 11: Apple Watch Series 11 adds blood pressure measuring capabilities to its existing health tracking features. A future version of watchOS may receive an upgrade to provide additional UI features.
  3. Apple Watch Ultra 3: The Apple Watch Ultra 3 will be released in 2025, replacing the 2024 update. The device will have improved durability and health tracking functions.
  4. Apple Watch SE: The Apple Watch SE model is expected to be upgraded in 2025, with potential changes to internal components and a new plastic body.
  5. AirPods Pro 3: AirPods Pro 3 will be redesigned in 2025. Apple Watch customers should expect improved audio specifications, sophisticated ear noise reduction technologies, and health monitoring functions that measure temperature and heart rate.
  6. Mac Pro: The Mac Pro will be the last device to use Apple’s M4 processor before transitioning to the latest semiconductor technology in the following iteration.
  7. MacBook Pro: The MacBook Pro received an update in October 2024, but buyers can expect improved performance with M5 processor characteristics in 2025.
  8. Apple TV 4K: The Apple TV 4K will receive an update that boosts processor power, enabling Apple Intelligence and improving game quality.
  9. HomePod mini: The HomePod mini is expected to receive a software upgrade, including faster CPUs, improved Wi-Fi and Bluetooth performance, and new color options.
  10. AirTag 2: Apple’s popular tracking device will likely get a new version in 2025, incorporating an Ultra Wideband chip for improved range and possibly a louder speaker.

Software Updates

Along with hardware updates, Apple will also introduce new software at WWDC 2025. The anticipated software updates include:

  • iOS 19 & iPadOS 19: Expect a significant redesign of the user interface, including updated icons, menus, and system buttons. These enhancements will offer a more consistent cross-platform experience on iPads and iPhones. Apple may be motivated by the Apple Vision Pro interface, which features floating, translucent design elements and a more contemporary aesthetic.
  • macOS 16: macOS 16 will undergo a redesign in order to better align with Apple’s other operating systems, thereby ensuring a more consistent experience across all devices, as is the case with iOS and iPadOS.

WWDC 2025 promises to be an important event, offering key software updates, potential hardware announcements, and opportunities for developers to learn and engage. Whether online or in person at Apple Park, the conference will highlight the latest advancements from Apple.
