The ARC Raiders community has reached a breaking point. For weeks, a severe “locked door” glitch has plagued Embark Studios’ new extraction shooter, leaving players frustrated and angry. The developer has released a steady stream of updates since the game’s launch in late October. Still, this specific exploit remains unpatched as of today, November 27, 2025.
As an extraction shooter, the core gameplay loop of ARC Raiders revolves around looting high-value gear. Typically, the best items are hidden behind locked doors that require specific keys to access. However, this glitch completely breaks that economy.
Players have discovered that if they run into a locked door while a teammate pushes them from behind, they can eventually “phase” through the solid object. Once inside, they can open the door from the other side.
This trick renders the valuable keys, often hard-earned or looted, completely useless. Legitimate players who carry these keys into a raid often find that the high-value rooms have already been emptied by exploiters. This disrupts the flow of the match, as teams now rush specific locations to abuse the glitch rather than playing the game as intended.
Prominent community voices are now demanding strict action. Content creator @Kleanisklean has publicly called for Embark to ban users who abuse this exploit while a fix is being investigated.
Similarly, @LancesEmporium highlighted the issue on X, noting how easily teams can glitch into Key Rooms without any requirements. The sentiment across the fanbase is very clear that the exploit is “game-breaking” and needs an immediate solution.
While Embark Studios has not yet officially addressed this specific bug, they have confirmed a major content drop for next month. According to the ARC Raiders 2025 Roadmap, a significant update is coming in December.
This update will introduce a new “Snowfall” Map Condition, the “Flickering Flames” event, and a new Raider Deck for unlocking cosmetics. Players are hopeful that this upcoming patch will finally seal the doors for good and restore integrity to the game.
