Embark Studios is picking up the pace. The developer released a new hotfix for ARC Raiders on February 11 to tackle several game-breaking glitches. This update arrived just hours after a previous patch. It signals a clear shift in how the Swedish studio handles urgent community feedback.
Fixing the Infinite Ammo Crisis
The most notorious issue addressed is the infinite ammo glitch. Prominent streamers like TheBurntPeanut recently showcased how simple it was to trigger this exploit. Players only had to swap their primary and secondary weapons a few times and then drop the secondary. This action loaded 100 bullets into a single magazine, regardless of the gun type.
Consequently, some of the best PvP guns became unstoppable killing machines during active fights. Fortunately, this latest patch eliminates the ammo bug entirely. Additionally, the update shuts down a newly discovered inventory duplication exploit. It also provides quick fixes for broken quests that previously featured missing or incomplete objectives.

Embark Studios Changes Strategy for ARC Raiders
Embark Studios typically follows a weekly update cycle. However, the studio is now accelerating its hotfixes to reassure its player base. This change follows significant backlash from players regarding unresolved exploits.
In a recent post on the game’s Discord server, the studio confirmed that these fixes are part of an ongoing investigation. They are currently analysing the full impact of these exploits on the game’s ecosystem. However, this investigation has also sparked fresh controversy among the community.

Penalties & Future Updates
Embark previously warned that players who abuse these glitches might face penalties. Some community members believe this is unfair. They argue that developers should not punish players for bugs that exist in the game’s own code. Conversely, others are calling for a firmer stance and stricter penalties to protect the game’s integrity.
While players remain concerned about issues like wall hacks and gun repair exploits, more rapid hotfixes are likely throughout February. Embark Studios seems intent on resolving all active issues before the next major update. For now, the studio is moving faster than ever to restore balance to the ARC Raiders experience.
