ARC Raiders North Line Update: Here’s All You Need to Know

Embark Studios has released the first major update for ARC Raiders. The patch went live today (November 13, 2025). It arrived at 1:30 a.m. PT / 4:30 a.m. ET / 10:30 a.m. CET / 2:30 p.m. PKT. The drop coincides with the game’s two-week anniversary.

New ARC Raiders Map: How to Get In

The headline is Stella Montis. It’s a secluded research facility in the mountains north of the Rust Belt. Players must unlock the map through a global event called Breaking New Ground. The event starts on release and asks the community to pool resources. It uses multiple milestones. Each milestone gives rewards and new challenges. Once unlocked, Stella Montis opens new quests tied to its icy theme.

North Line adds two new ARC enemies. First, the Matriarch, which appears under specific map conditions. Second, the Shredder, which surfaces only after Stella Montis is unlocked.

Additionally, Embark adds new weapons and gear. These include the Aphelion Rifle (Energy Burst Battle Rifle), the Trailblazer and Seeker grenades, plus new mines: Pulse Mine, Deadline Mine, and Gas Mine. New quests tied to Stella Montis will unlock after the community event. Embark has not disclosed full quest details yet.

Key Patch Highlights, Fixes & Balance

Embark shipped a long list of fixes and balance changes for ARC Raiders. In short, the update improves stability and addresses several progression issues.

  • Desync & latency: Reduced character movement latency on the server. This aims to fix the desync where players looked damaged even when behind cover.
  • Combat feel: Reduced delay between shooting and seeing impact effects on targets.
  • Quests & achievements: Fixed an issue that prevented completion of multi-objective quests in a single round. Fixed various achievements; some single-objective achievements must be redone.
  • Terrain & maps: Fixed multiple locations across The Dam, Buried City, Spaceport and Blue Gate where players could fall through terrain or get stuck. Spaceport’s Departure Building now has a sealed room that requires breaching; loot was adjusted.
  • Animation & UI: Fixed weapon-slinging when throwing grenades, hidden weapons with deployables, and improved camera clipping. Added stack-splitting in inventory. Also added confirmation after submitting player reports.
  • Utility & movement: Vaulting is smoother. Smoke clouds now show at the same range as players. Fixed several exploits (Trigger ‘Nade DBNO invulnerability bypass, Snap Hook OOB in Spaceport bunker).
  • Weapons: Fixed bullets veering when firing near walls.
  • Quests: The Spaceport quest “Greasing Her Palm” now counts more thrusters to complete the objective.

Economy & XP Balance Changes

Several trader values and crafting recipes changed:

  • Wolfpack value increased from 3,000 to 5,000 Coins. Its crafting now requires 3 Refined Explosives + 2 ARC Motion Cores. Before it was 2 Refined Explosives + 2 Sensors.
  • ARC Motion Core & ARC Circuitry unlock moved from Refiner LVL 3 to LVL 2. Crafting now requires 8 ARC Alloy. It was 6 before the update.
  • Launcher Ammo value doubled from 100 to 200 Coins. Crafting for 6 ammo changed from 5 Metal Parts + 1 Crude Explosive to 4 Metal Parts + 1 Refined Explosive.
  • Spotter Relay value reduced from 5,000 to 2,000 Coins.

XP adjustments:

  • Reduced XP per damage from 3 to 2 for Bastion, Bombardier, Rocketeer and Leaper.

Loot XP changes:

  • Bastion: 500 to 250
  • Bombardier: 500 to 300
  • Rocketeer thruster: 200 to 500
  • Leaper leg: 200 to 500

North Line begins Act I of Embark’s 2025 roadmap. The studio plans another major ARC Raiders update called Cold Snap in December 2025. Cold Snap will add a Snowfall Map Condition, the Flickering Flames event, and a reset of the Expedition cycle, among other changes.

Full, detailed patch notes are available from Embark’s official announcement and were published with the November 13 update. The community-driven Breaking New Ground event will determine access to Stella Montis. Meanwhile, players can expect improved stability, weapon and movement fixes, and several economy rebalances.
