Arc Raiders Wants Your Opinion via The New Map Feedback Survey

ARC Raiders has officially been on the market for six weeks, and it is already a massive success. Embark Studios first transformed the game from a co-op shooter into a PvPvE extraction title. Now, the developers want to hear directly from you.

Embark Studios recently posted a call to action on X. They are asking the community for critical feedback regarding the current maps and playstyles. Since player feedback is vital for live-service titles, this is your chance to guide the future of the game.

What Is in the Survey?

The new survey centres primarily on map design. Embark Studios wants to know your honest thoughts on Arc Raiders. You can rank each map as liked, neutral, or disliked. Furthermore, the studio is collecting data on how you play. Do you prefer stealth? Do you engage aggressively in PvP? Perhaps you focus purely on loot or lie in wait to ambush unsuspecting players.

Embark hopes this specific data will help them shape future content. They want to capitalise on the unique playstyles of their massive player base.

Important Requirements to Participate

Before you rush to share your opinion, there are strict requirements. You cannot simply fill out the form immediately.

  • Embark ID: You must log in with your specific Embark ID. This verifies your identity.
  • Playtime: The system checks your history. You must have played on all currently available maps.

This includes the newest map, “Stella Montis”. Players unlocked this map recently during a huge community donation event in the game’s second week. Unlike others, “Stella Montis” is indoors and serves as a haven for PvP combat.

Warning:

Some players are currently reporting a “maximum number of responses” error message. The survey appears to be ending early for some. As of this publication, Embark has not commented on this potential issue.

ARC Raiders: A Tale of Two Map Styles

Why is this feedback so important? ARC Raiders has had a lengthy development cycle. Originally revealed in 2021 as a co-op shooter against machines called “arcs”, the game was rebooted. Embark Studios struggled to “find the fun” and pivoted to the extraction genre.

Consequently, the maps reflect different eras of development:

  • The Legacy Maps: “Spaceport” and “Dam Battlegrounds” were made for the original vision. They look and play differently.
  • The Extraction Maps: “Blue Gate”, “Buried City”, and “Stella Montis” were created after the reboot. Many players view these as more PvP-friendly.
