Bank Deposits Made Easier with NADRA’s New e-Service

ISLAMABAD: A new service, e-Sahulat, has been introduced by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) that enables citizens to deposit funds into more than 50 banks.

This change is a result of a partnership between 1LINK and NADRA Technologies Limited. Chairman of NADRA and Deputy Governor Saleemullah of the State Bank of Pakistan were both at the signing event.

This program will enable over 9,000 e-Sahulat franchises to accept deposits that require biometric authentication. According to NADRA, the goal of this change is to encourage digital banking and increase access to financial services.

The goal of this project is to make sure that everyone has access to financial services and to spread digital banking across the whole country. Additionally, NADRA made it clear that biometric issues are not related to their system, and that all banks have access to the “Verisys” system’s identity verification capabilities.

Along with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and the State Bank of Pakistan, NADRA is also implementing a facial recognition verification system. Upon completion, this service will be made available to all banks and telecom operators.
