EA has released Battlefield 6 Update 1.1.2.0 today, November 18, marking one of the biggest patches since launch. The update goes live at 09:00 AM UTC / 02:00 PM PKT. The game has stayed strong with over 200,000 daily concurrent players on Steam. Now, the new update aims to improve gameplay, fix major issues, and expand Season 1 with fresh content.
The update arrives after the November 11 patch, which fixed a drone glitch that allowed players to access off-limits areas. Battlefield 6 originally launched on October 10, and EA continues to push consistent improvements.
The update introduces “California Resistance”, a major content drop for Season 1.
The highlight is Eastwood, a new map set in Southern California. It is available in all official modes. In Conquest, players can access tanks, helicopters, and the Golf Cart. However, some users believe the objective layout may favour one team more than the other.
The patch also adds a new time-limited Sabotage mode, designed around demolition and counterplay.
Players get new weapons as well:
The update expands Gauntlet mode, too. A new mission type, Rodeo, allows players to fight with multiple vehicles and earn bonus points for vehicle kills.
EA also updates Portal, giving creators a new sandbox map option. The Golf Cart is now usable in custom experiences.
A limited-time California Resistance bonus Battle Pass path is also available. Additionally, players can unlock the new Slim Handstop underbarrel attachment via a challenge.
EA confirms that Battle Pickups will arrive later in the update. These are powerful, limited-ammo weapons for specific modes and Portal playlists.
One of the biggest changes in Update 1.1.2.0 is a full revert of the aim assist tuning to the original Open Beta settings. EA says this change provides more consistency across all input types.
Controller players receive multiple improvements, including:
Weapon accuracy also improves across the board. EA fixes unintended dispersion increases and boosts accuracy for non-Recon sniper rifles.
Update 1.1.2.0 includes a huge list of fixes and improvements.
Player Fixes:
EA fixes issues with movement, sprinting, combat dives, vaulting, takedowns, revives, ragdolls, and more. Danger Ping timing increases from “0.2s” to “0.333s”. Hit registration after leaving vehicles is also fixed.
Weapon Fixes:
The patch reduces global dispersion and fixes clipping on optics, underbarrels, and sights. The SV-98 damage stats are corrected, and slug ammo no longer despawns too quickly. Several guns receive recoil reductions.
Vehicle Fixes:
Improvements target camera resets, hitboxes, projectile effects, missile damage, and mounting issues. Helicopters and Quad Bikes get polished, and unintended aim assist behaviour is corrected.
Gadget Fixes:
EA resolves issues with C-4, mines, sensors, deployable covers, drones, defibrillators, supply items, and class abilities. Many physics and collision bugs are patched.
Maps, Modes & UI:
The update adds Eastwood and Sabotage, while fixing black-screen spawns, matchmaking late joins, objective resets, AFK kicks, and excessive environmental smoke.
The UI now shows clearer stance messages, improved kill logs, better Strikepoint interface elements, and new downed-player notifications. Non-squad revives now trigger a “Thank you!” VO.
Audio & Single-Player Fixes:
New movement sounds, gunfire audio, and Double Ping SFX are included. EA fixes VO logic, foley issues, shadow errors, bright flashes, subtitle mismatches, and NVIDIA/AMD stutters.
Portal & Hardware:
Portal gets new music scripting tools. NVIDIA GPU users no longer face a forced 300 FPS cap.
RedSec Fixes:
Updates include Golf Cart mine interactions, turret persistence issues, missing soldier icons, kill card inconsistencies, and incorrect squadmate death sounds.
The developers note that parts of the announcement may change based on community feedback. They stress that Battlefield 6 will continue to evolve through the live service model, and they plan to keep communication open as the season progresses.
