EA and Battlefield Studios just dropped the complete patch notes for the Battlefield 6 Season 3 Update 1.3.1.0. The massive update arrives on May 12, bringing highly requested content and major gameplay improvements. After addressing community frustrations in previous patches, the developers are now focusing on significant vehicle overhauls, weapon balancing, and netcode upgrades.
Season 3 introduces heavy-hitting content. First, the classic Battlefield 4 map, Railway to Golmud, launches on May 12. Later, a reimagined Grand Bazaar, named Cairo Bazaar, arrives on June 4. Furthermore, players get two new multiplayer modes:
- The neutral bomb mode ‘Obliteration’
- A Tactical squad variant
Additionally, the update introduces the M16A4 assault rifle alongside three new attachments. Players can also grind a new Battle Pass featuring over 100 tiers. For dedicated players, a new “Pro” option offers 25 Tier skips and exclusive items.
Massive Vehicle & Combat Overhauls
Vehicles received the biggest changes in this update. Developers completely reworked land and air vehicle handling. Now, tracked vehicles turn better and accelerate smoother. Tank damage models are also much simpler. Hits to the rear deal 200% damage, but regeneration now continues to full health. However, critical health slows regeneration by 80%.
Moreover, infantry combat feels noticeably different. Developers increased the recoil on high-DPS automatic weapons. This change limits their long-range dominance. Meanwhile, anti-vehicle launchers are now more viable. Additionally, the Engineer’s Supply Crate now provides infinite vehicle resupplies in standard multiplayer.
Battle Royale fans finally get ‘Ranked Quads’. Also, the developers added a crucial “Loot Detection” feature to Fort Lyndon. When you drop or respawn, you can see nearby loot containers through walls for 80 seconds. This helps squads equip faster. Finally, players can now abandon in-progress missions if enemies interfere.
Battlefield 6 Season 3: Tech & UI Improvements
Combat feedback is much clearer across the board. Pinging is faster, and damage indicators scale based on the hit severity. The Player Profile now features a Seasonal Statistics page to track your performance exclusively for Season 3. On the technical side, the game now supports AMD FSR 4.1, Intel XeSS 3.0, and PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution 2 for the PS5 Pro.
