The Biggest Youth Entrepreneurship Competition of South Asia – YLES is coming back this month
The Young Leaders’ and Entrepreneurs’ Summit (YLES) is the flagship event of the LUMS Entrepreneurial Society. YLES is dubbed to be the biggest Youth-based Entrepreneurial Competition of South Asia, which has been proven right ever since the event’s inception 14 years ago.
Throughout the last 13 editions, YLES has been empowering, inspiring, and motivating the youth of Pakistan to strive for innovation in the field of entrepreneurship.
YLES has had the pleasure of hosting an immensely large body of international and national students as participants over the course of its previous editions.
Those who take part are offered an incomparable platform which fosters the enhancement of strategic thinking, leadership skills and managerial abilities – effectively allowing individuals to experience a life changing journey.
YLES also helps individuals gain clarity regarding their aims and aspirations, giving them a head start in leading the change they want to see in the world by providing unparalleled networking opportunities and one-to-one interactions with top corporate executives, parliamentarians, and entrepreneurs in Pakistan.
The team behind YLES has been constantly working on making this year’s edition bigger than its predecessors and a number of steps have been taken in this regard. YLES has initiated its cultural exchange program held exclusively for international delegates.
The program consists of a greatly beneficial series of workshops which focuses on digital editing and cryptocurrency, informative visits to entrepreneurial hubs of Pakistan, meeting with social entrepreneurs and going on cultural trips around the country.
YLES is currently expecting delegations from Turkey, UAE and Sri Lanka – allowing the program to not only broaden YLES’ global outreach but also create an exceptionally diverse atmosphere for all individuals to interact in.
Apart from that, this year’s Social Enterprise Round is affiliated with the Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF), which provides a globally recognized platform to bring together social enterprise champions from all over the world to collaborate, share best practices and to plan upcoming developments.
Additionally, to emulate business practices abroad, YLES has taken the liberty to include a “jury style” mechanism in the “Strategic Business Management” round, which will mark the first time such a practice is introduced in Pakistan!
Last but not the least, YLES isn’t all work. It hosts equally exciting social events, including a concert from the some of greatest musicians in the industry including Farhan Saeed and Akcent.
Last year, YLES brought Strings to LUMS for the 2nd time which only fuels the curiosity regarding who will be performing next!
Registrations for the event opened a last few weeks and you have till the 9th of December to register. You can register for YLES from here.
