The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi officially declared the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) 1st Annual Examination 2026 results today, September 23, 2026. The board finalised the results under the supervision of Chairman Prof. Dr. Iqbal Mahmood and Controller of Examinations Tanvir Asghar Awan. A total of 62,233 candidates registered for the examination across regular and private categories. While 795 students remained absent, 29 admissions were cancelled, leaving 61,409 students who appeared in the examination centers. Out of these, 36,896 candidates passed, locking the overall pass percentage at 60.08%.

Moreover, 2,671 candidates achieved the highest grade of A-1 across all academic streams. Another 5,577 students secured an A grade, while 10,176 candidates obtained a B grade.
Gender-Based Performance Comparison
Female candidates outperformed male students by a wide margin. Female students achieved a solid pass percentage of 67.56%, whereas male students recorded a pass rate of 46.52%.

Additionally, regular students enrolled through institutions showed significantly higher success rates than private candidates. Regular students achieved a pass rate of 67.60% (30,645 passed out of 45,327 appeared), whereas private candidates recorded a pass rate of only 38.86% (6,251 passed out of 16,082 appeared).

The examination covered multiple districts under the Rawalpindi Board’s jurisdiction. Talagang secured the top spot among districts with a pass percentage of 63.31%. Chakwal and Jhelum followed closely behind.
