Bloober Team Teases New Horror Game Reveal for Valentine’s Day 2026

Published by

Bloober Team is teasing its next major project. The studio, famous for the recent Silent Hill 2 Remake and Cronos: The New Dawn, recently updated its mysterious website. Currently, the site features a blood-red countdown. This timer is set to end on February 14 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET and February 15 at 5 AM PKT. Consequently, fans expect a full reveal on Valentine’s Day.

The developer first posted the link on December 31 with the caption:

Dare to peek into the darkness.

However, yesterday, January 28, the website received a significant update.

Bleeding Rose & Dark Poetry: Bloober Team is Cooking!

The updated site now displays an image of a red rose. Notably, the flower appears to be bleeding. Beneath the image, a new tagline reads:

Some things never leave the walls. They only learn to wait.

Furthermore, the update includes a functional play button. When users hover over it, the icon bleeds. Pressing play triggers a menacing audio clip. The voice recites lines from William Blake’s poem, The Sick Rose:

Thou art sick…invisible…flies in the night…howling storm has found out thy bed of crimson joy…dark secret…thy life destroy.

This poem often deals with themes of sexual desire, innocence, and destruction. Therefore, these subjects will likely influence the game’s narrative.

Is This “Onyx: The Dark Grip”?

Speculation regarding the game’s title is already building. Reddit user Solid-Entertainer-39 discovered a trademark filing from September 2024. The title registered is “Onyx: The Dark Grip”. While unconfirmed, this could be the mystery project. Alternatively, this may be Bloober Team’s “Project M” or “Project F”, both slated for a 2026 release.

Konami confirmed last June that Bloober Team is working on a Silent Hill 1 remake. However, based on these new teasers, this Valentine’s Day project is likely a different, original IP.
