Following a turbulent launch, Activision, the studio behind Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, has dropped the official Season 1 Roadmap, and it is massive. Treyarch confirms this is the “biggest Season 1 ever”, bringing deep story integrations and an enormous influx of content.
The season officially goes live on Thursday, December 4, at 09:00 AM PT / 10:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time across all platforms.
Season 1 advances the Black Ops 7 lore significantly. Alden Dorne, the former right-hand of CEO Emma Kagan, has staged a ruthless coup. Dorne has seized control of “The Guild”, intending to capture protagonist David Mason and unlock the “C-Link” neural technology.
This narrative drives the new Multiplayer map aesthetics, which focus on David Mason’s fractured psyche.
Reportedly, Activision is gifting the iconic “The Replacer” Operator Skin to all players at the start of Season 1. Played by Peter Stormare, the character returns in his signature black suit with a “7” lapel pin. This serves as a “thank you” to the community following the cancellation of the “Carry Forward” system.
In a surprise twist, the Endgame mode and its vast Avalon map are accessible right now (as of November 21). Season 1 expands this mode heavily:
Multiplayer receives four brand-new maps and three remasters. The new maps are deeply tied to the “Project Synapse” storyline:
Launch sees the return of Prop Hunt, One in the Chamber, and Sharpshooter. Later in the season, Sticks & Stones and Gun Game arrive, followed by a new objective mode called Takeover.
Season 1 introduces the Deadeye Drone, a lethal aerial scorestreak equipped with a sniper rifle.
Furthermore, a massive drop of Black Ops 6 content returns mid-season. Players can expect the Archangel Launcher, Death Machine, Dreadnought, and SAM Turret to rejoin the loadout pool.
The update brings the new Astra Malorum round-based map and a new survival map, Exit 115. Players will fight a new robotic enemy type, O.S.C.A.R., using the new LGM-1 Wonder Weapon.
