Treyarch Studios just unveiled the new Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 3. This seasonal update drops tomorrow, Thursday, April 2. Both Black Ops 7 and Warzone players can jump in to unlock massive rewards.

The Standard Battle Pass Experience
Players can choose between the free or premium Standard Battle Pass. Overall, the pass offers over 100 new rewards. You can unlock free base weapons, Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, and Finishing Moves. Importantly, Treyarch keeps gameplay-altering items strictly within the free track.
Furthermore, the Premium Pass grants up to 1,100 earnable COD Points. Alternatively, you can purchase the Battle Pass Bundle for 2,400 COD Points. This bundle includes 20 Tier Skips, allowing you to bypass the grind and unlock early rewards instantly.
BlackCell Returns Despite Backlash
Activision continues to push the controversial BlackCell Battle Pass variant. Originally introduced in 2023, this premium offering costs $29.99 USD. You must use real-life money to buy it, not COD Points. Unsurprisingly, players consistently push back against this practice, criticizing the paywalling of cosmetics behind expensive microtransactions.
However, the Season 3 BlackCell introduces fresh mechanics. For the first time, it features a unique Camo Challenge Track. You also gain access to Valkyrie-themed Operator Skins and Weapon Blueprints via in-game challenges. Purchasing BlackCell instantly unlocks the “Grasp” skin for the Javelin Operator. Subsequently, you earn six more exclusive skins across the battle pass pages:
| Pages | Skins |
|---|---|
| Page 2 | “Lockdown” for T.E.D.D. |
| Page 5 | “Serrated” for Wei Lin |
| Page 7 | “Icecap” for Dempsey |
| Page 11 | “Sleepless” for Richtofen |
| Page 13 | “Tacit” for Karma |
| Completion Page | “Riven” for Javelin |
Alongside these operators, players will unlock seven exclusive Weapon Blueprints.
Black Ops 7 Fresh Maps & the Return of Verdansk
Beyond the Battle Pass, Season 3 delivers heavy content drops. Treyarch will release three brand-new maps at launch. Additionally, fans get two iconic remasters: Plaza from Black Ops 2 and Gridlock from Black Ops 4. A mid-season update will deliver even more maps roughly a month later. Finally, Warzone players will see the return of the fan-favorite Verdansk map, launching alongside brand-new weapons and game modes.
