Raven Software recently dropped a new update for Call of Duty: Warzone. Following the Season 02 Reloaded launch, developers released patch notes yesterday, March 15, for a minor update that went live on March 13. Specifically, this patch refines the newly introduced Black Ops Royale mode. It focuses heavily on resolving gameplay bugs rather than making sweeping balance changes.
Black Ops Royale Gets a Win Streak Tracker & Fixes
The March 13 update brings one major quality-of-life feature. Developers added a Win Streak progress tracker exclusively for Black Ops Royale.
Additionally, the patch tackles four specific technical issues:
- First, it fixes a bug where spectating a teammate who used a Trauma Kit displayed their health indicator as a blinking red value.
- Second, it resolves an issue causing players downed while wingsuiting to lose HUD elements after revival.
- Furthermore, it fixes a Polaris vehicle bug where the “Climb to Roof” function ejected rear-seat passengers.
- Finally, developers repaired the Reactive Armor Perk, ensuring it successfully regenerates armor after a player revives from a downed state.
Inside the New Black Ops Royale Mechanics
Black Ops Royale officially launched a few days ago. Consequently, this mode shifts away from traditional cash flow, loadouts, and Buy Stations. Instead, it heavily emphasizes in-round progression. Players must focus on looting, weapon rarity upgrades, consumable perks, and movement mechanics like wall jumps and wingsuits.
Moreover, players spawn with 150 base health and 150 armor. Therefore, survivability relies entirely on items like Trauma Kits, Armor Vests, Redeploy Tokens, and Redeploy Towers. Furthermore, progression links directly to activities such as Surveillance Drones, Strongbox Crack events, Relay Antennas, Supply Drops, and Cradle Breaches. Finally, players can explore Cradle Zones to find high-value loot and Exotic Weapons.
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 02 Reloaded Events & Economy Updates
Beyond Black Ops Royale, Season 02 Reloaded delivers exciting new content. The Altitude Tactics event offers rewards like the Voyak KT-3 Assault Rifle. Meanwhile, the Counter Skies Event Pass features the Swordfish A1 Marksman Rifle and the Echo 12 Backlash Launcher Kit.
Additionally, developers refreshed the perk pool for standard Battle Royale and Resurgence. Momentum replaces Alertness. Berserker replaces Bomb Squad. Hunter replaces Tracker. Finally, the update adjusts the in-game economy. Advanced UAVs now appear in Buy Stations for $40,000, and the Specialist price increased to $35,000.
