CDA to Redevelop Vacant Land in Islamabad’s F-6 and F-7 Sectors

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to redevelop vacant and unutilized land in Islamabad’s prime residential sectors F-6 and F-7, aiming to optimize urban planning, enhance aesthetics, and improve land management in the city’s most valuable areas.

According to a CDA notice, several small land parcels remain undesigned and unplanned, and the authority seeks to repurpose them under the “Regulations of Amendment in Layout Plans, 2019.” The redevelopment initiative will focus on better connectivity, sustainable urban design, and efficient land utilization, aligning with the city’s broader urban development strategy.

Officials highlighted that public participation will be an essential part of the process. Residents, stakeholders, and the general public are invited to submit comments or objections within ten days of the notice, ensuring transparency and community involvement in shaping the final plans.

CDA representatives said,

“This exercise is designed to make optimal use of vacant land while improving Islamabad’s urban landscape and governance of central sectors.”

The initiative reflects CDA’s continued efforts to modernize the capital and ensure sustainable development in high-value residential areas.
