Pakistan’s Centre of Excellence in Gaming and Animation (CEGA) officially opened registrations for its second incubation cohort today. The Ministry of IT and Telecom, Ignite – National Technology Fund, and HUM Network Limited established this joint initiative. Now, they want to accelerate local startups working in gaming, animation, and creative technology.
Crucially, this six-month program takes absolutely zero equity. Instead, it offers structured support to help creators scale their businesses and develop their products. Furthermore, participants get direct access to modern infrastructure, technical labs, and dedicated co-working spaces. Consequently, the program pushes teams straight from basic ideation to market validation and demonstration readiness.
Industry professionals will mentor the selected startups throughout the cycle. Additionally, founders will integrate with a massive expert network tied to Ignite, Tech Destination Pakistan, and the Ministry of IT and Telecom.
Centre of Excellence in Gaming and Animation (CEGA) aligns directly with broader national tech goals. Specifically, the hub plans to train up to 10,000 individuals and incubate 200 startups over the coming years. By doing so, they aim to massively expand Pakistan’s creative economy.
Several prominent partners joined this second cohort to strengthen the digital content and interactive technology ecosystem. These partners include Section Soft, Ideofuzion, Sablo Studio, LUMS Centre for Entrepreneurship (LCE), Techsol Space, and AGON Esports.
Early-stage teams and mature ventures can both apply. To enter, founders must submit their details, startup name, and product focus through the official CEGA registration portal. Afterward, evaluators will assess all teams for eligibility and match them with specific, tailored support services.
