CES 2026: Samsung Showcases 130″ TVs, 6K Gaming & AI Robots
Samsung Electronics kicked off the year in Las Vegas yesterday with its “The First Look” event at the CES 2026. The company revealed a massive portfolio focused on its “Your Companion to AI Living” vision. From a colossal 130-inch display to a kitchen powered by Google Gemini, here is everything you need to know about Samsung’s latest tech.
The Entertainment Behemoth: 130-inch Micro RGB
Samsung redefined home cinema with its new flagship, the 130-inch Micro RGB. This display uses a micro-sized RGB light source where red, green, and blue diodes shine independently. The result is pure, natural colour controlled by the new Micro RGB AI Engine Pro.
The company also introduced the Vision AI Companion (VAC). This AI engine does more than just display pictures. It recommends content, food, and music based on your preferences. Furthermore, it supports voice commands across the entire 2026 TV lineup, including Micro LED, OLED, and Neo QLED models.
For sports fans, AI Soccer Mode Pro tunes picture and sound to stadium-level quality. Additionally, AI Sound Controller Pro allows users to isolate and adjust specific audio tracks, such as raising the commentary volume while lowering crowd noise.
Other Visual Display Highlights:
- OLED S95H: An ultra-thin display with a refined bezel.
- The Freestyle+: A portable projector now powered by VAC for use on uneven surfaces.
- HDR10+ ADVANCED: Samsung is the first to launch this tech in its 2026 lineup.
- Eclipsa Audio: A new spatial sound system included in all 2026 TVs.
- Tizen OS Update: Now guarantees seven years of OS upgrades.
Gamers get a massive upgrade this year. Samsung unveiled the Odyssey G9, the world’s first 6K 3D gaming monitor. This flagship leads a new lineup that includes the next-generation Odyssey G6 and three new Odyssey G8 models.
On the audio front, Samsung released the Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7. These WiFi speakers feature a dot design concept by designer Erwan Bouroullec, created to blend seamlessly into home aesthetics.
Smart Home: Google Gemini Meets the Kitchen
The kitchen is getting smarter. Samsung’s Family Hub Refrigerator now features AI Vision built with Google Gemini. This update allows the fridge to track food items as they enter or leave the shelves. It also suggests recipes based on your current stock to reduce meal-planning stress.
Key Appliance Updates:
- Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra: Powered by a Qualcomm Dragonwing™ processor, this robot vacuum uses an Active Stereo 3D sensor to detect liquids like coffee or water. It also acts as a pet monitor.
- Bespoke AI Laundry Combo: Features a faster super speed cycle and improved drying.
- Bespoke AI AirDresser: Includes “Auto Wrinkle Care” to smooth shirts with air and steam jets.
- Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB) Partnership: Samsung partnered with HSB to help users reduce home insurance premiums by using connected SmartThings appliances.
Health: Proactive Care
Samsung is shifting from reactive to proactive health monitoring. Using the Xealth platform, connected devices will now offer personalised coaching for sleep and exercise.
The ecosystem can even detect early signs of dementia by tracking changes in mobility and speech patterns via wearables. If the system detects abnormalities, it alerts the user and facilitates virtual consultations with medical professionals.
