Dead by Daylight Confirms 2nd Stranger Things Crossover for 2026

Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive has officially confirmed that Stranger Things is returning to the asymmetrical horror game. The studio released a short teaser on X yesterday, November 27. This exciting update reveals that a second Stranger Things DLC Chapter will launch in January 2026.

This announcement puts Stranger Things in an exclusive club. It is now the only IP, besides Resident Evil, to collaborate with Dead by Daylight for a second time. This news follows the release of Stranger Things Season 5 on Netflix earlier this week.

Vecna Joins the Hunt in Dead by Daylight

The teaser video strongly suggests that the iconic villain Vecna will be the new Killer. This aligns perfectly with the current hype surrounding the show’s final season. Interestingly, Dead by Daylight already features a version of Vecna from Dungeons and Dragons, added in June 2024. However, the Stranger Things version will likely differ significantly. He may rely on telepathy and mind control rather than magic-based powers.

The January 2026 release window suggests the content will arrive alongside the Stranger Things Season 5 finale. Consequently, fans might see more reveals at The Game Awards 2025 later this year.

New Survivors & Maps?

While the developer has not confirmed specific Survivors yet, speculation is running high. Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers are the most likely candidates to join the roster. The show’s core cast of children would likely be too young for the game’s brutal setting. Furthermore, a new map seems probable. Players could soon explore iconic locations like the Creel House or Vecna’s lair in the Upside Down.

The first Stranger Things chapter originally launched in September 2019. It included Survivors Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler, along with The Demogorgon. Although licensing issues removed the content in 2021, it returned in November 2023. Currently, players can still purchase the original chapter for $11.99 or 1,500 Auric Cells. Now, fans eagerly await the next terrifying chapter in January.
