In 2025, Pakistan’s auto sector saw a wave of electric vehicles entering the market, and one of the most talked-about additions is the Dongfeng Box EV in Pakistan, officially launched by Chawala Green Motors. The vehicle blends modern technology, impressive performance, and sleek design, making it a standout among EVs launched this year.




Available in two variants — the LUX 430 and the Flagship 430 — the Dongfeng Box EV is priced at Rs6.4 million and Rs6.8 million respectively. Booking requires a down payment of Rs1.5 million, with same-day delivery possible if the preferred color is in stock. Otherwise, buyers can expect a 40 to 50-day wait.

Dongfeng Box EV Performance and Tech Features

This 5-door hatchback offers compact yet practical dimensions, measuring 4,030mm in length and 1,810mm in width, while the wheelbase stands at 2,660mm. The EV is powered by a 42.3 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, delivering a maximum speed of 140 km/h and a comprehensive range of 430 km. It supports AC charging at 6.6 kW and fast DC charging, reaching 80% in just 30 minutes.

Under the hood, the Box EV houses a 70 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor with a front-wheel drive setup. Warranty coverage includes four years or 150,000 km for the vehicle and eight years or 200,000 km for the battery, ensuring long-term peace of mind.




Exterior and interior features differ slightly across variants. The LUX 430 comes with 16-inch wheels and basic comfort features, while the Flagship 430 steps up with 17-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic 540° camera, heated and ventilated seats, and a premium sound system with six speakers. Both models offer adjustable ambient lighting, keyless entry, and a central touchscreen for infotainment.

Safety features across the lineup include dual airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The Flagship 430 enhances safety with advanced systems like automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, highway driving assistance, and road sign recognition.

With its competitive pricing, high-tech features, and reliable performance, the Dongfeng Box EV in Pakistan is poised to make a strong impact in the country’s growing electric vehicle market.
