Elden Ring Nightreign Major DLC “The Forsaken Hollows” Revealed

FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have officially revealed a major new expansion for Elden Ring Nightreign, titled The Forsaken Hollows. The DLC will release across all platforms on December 4, 2025, adding new content and gameplay features to the roguelike experience.

The reveal came during Sony’s State of Play Japan event on November 11, where a 108-second trailer showcased fresh gameplay, bosses, and environments. The announcement follows Kadokawa Corporation’s earlier earnings call on November 6, where the publisher hinted at upcoming DLC plans before March 2026. That tentative window has now been replaced with a firm release date.

Two New Classes and a New Environment

The Forsaken Hollows expands the Elden Ring Nightreign world with two new Nightfarer classes.

The Scholar specialises in high “Arcane” and excels at battlefield observation, offering a tactical playstyle. Meanwhile, the Undertaker merges “Faith” and “Strength”, creating a powerful frontline fighter built for aggressive combat.

The DLC also introduces a new Shifting Earth environment called The Great Hollow, described as a vast cavity in Limveld. Alongside it, players can expect new boss encounters and fresh challenges within this eerie setting.

Players who own the Deluxe Edition of Elden Ring Nightreign will receive The Forsaken Hollows at no additional cost. The Deluxe Edition, priced at $54.99, costs $15 more than the base game and originally included a digital mini soundtrack and artbook as pre-order bonuses.

Previously, Bandai Namco offered a $15 Deluxe Upgrade Pack, which has now been renamed to The Forsaken Hollows. The DLC’s confirmed contents include:

  • 2 new Nightfarers: Scholar and Undertaker
  • 1 new Shifting Earth environment: The Great Hollow
  • New bosses
  • Pre-order bonuses: digital mini soundtrack and artbook

The Elden Ring Future Prospects and Sales Growth

At launch, the Deluxe Edition promised exactly one DLC expansion. Whether additional content follows will depend on the commercial success of The Forsaken Hollows.

As of July 2025, Elden Ring Nightreign surpassed 5 million sales worldwide. Kadokawa expects this upcoming DLC to further boost the game’s sales and help it maintain its strong commercial momentum heading into 2026.
