The wait is finally over. After nearly four years, the fan-favourite Arcane skins are back in Fortnite. Riot Games and Epic Games officially confirmed the return of Jinx and Vi to the Item Shop today, November 29. This marks their first appearance in exactly 1,393 days.
Here is everything you need to know about today’s shop update and the massive leaks for Chapter 7.
Gamers have clamoured for these cosmetics for years. Previously, Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill reached out to Epic Games to bring them back. At the time, an agreement wasn’t possible. However, the situation has clearly changed.
Today, players can purchase the Jinx and Vi skins once again. Furthermore, the official LEGO Fortnite Twitter account revealed a new bonus. Both characters now feature LEGO styles.
In the past, these skins cost 1,500 V-Bucks individually. Alternatively, players could buy bundles for 1,800 V-Bucks. These bundles included a back bling, harvester, and other accessories. If you want these rare items, act fast. There is no confirmation on how long they will remain available.
Keen-eyed leakers actually predicted this return. Recently, they found the song “Enemy” by Imagine Dragons in the game files. Since this track features heavily in the Netflix show Arcane, many correctly guessed that the skins were returning.
The excitement doesn’t stop with the Item Shop. Fortnite is currently preparing for the “Zero Hour” live event. This event begins on November 29 at 02:00 PM ET / November 30 at 12:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time and celebrates the finale of Chapter 6.
While fans anticipate the event, exciting news about Chapter 7 has surfaced. Epic Games revealed a major crossover with Kill Bill. This collaboration appears unique. Aside from releasing Kill Bill skins, Epic has teamed up with director Quentin Tarantino. Together, they will bring an unfilmed portion of the movie’s original script to life as an animated short within Fortnite.
This moves beyond standard collaborations. It resembles the Simpsons mini-season, where characters Hope and Jonesy interacted with the show’s cast in animated shorts.
The return of Arcane ends one of the longest absences in Fortnite history. For context, the Pac-Man back bling has been missing for over 1,000 days. Similarly, God of War’s “Kratos” hasn’t appeared since 2021. Even the original Reflex skin has been absent since 2019.
Epic Games rarely explains why some items disappear for years. Nevertheless, today is a win for the community. With the Arcane collection back and a huge Kill Bill crossover on the horizon, the future of Fortnite looks bright.
