Traders in Karachi have been advised to exercise caution following reports of counterfeit Rs5,000 notes circulating in markets.
According to details, multiple cases of fake Rs5,000 notes have surfaced across Karachi in recent days, causing widespread concern among residents and the trading community.
Fraudsters have reportedly been using various tactics to deceive shopkeepers and customers by passing off counterfeit notes as genuine currency.
Rizwan Irfan, President of the Karachi Electronics Dealers Association, said several such incidents had occurred in the electronics market, where traders received counterfeit Rs5,000 notes during transactions.
He noted that the development had created a sense of fear and unease among market participants.
Irfan urged the public and the business community to carefully inspect Rs5,000 notes during transactions and remain vigilant to avoid financial losses.
