Federal Government Announces December 25 as Public Holiday

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has declared December 25, 2024, as a public holiday to mark both Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.
A notification from the Cabinet Division confirmed that all government offices will be closed on this day. The holiday will honor the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, as well as the celebration of Christmas.
Additionally, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that all banks and financial institutions will be closed on December 25. In a statement, the SBP confirmed that it will observe the public holiday in observance of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas, as announced by the government.
