The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone has arrested three suspects in two separate crackdowns on copyright violations and illegal internet operations.
According to the FIA spokesperson, in the first operation, the agency officials arrested Waheed Gul and Muhammad Amin Saleem for violating the Copyright Act.
A raid on their premises led to the recovery of a large quantity of counterfeit goods bearing the branding of a well-known registered company. Preliminary investigations found that the suspects were manufacturing and selling the firm’s products without any legal authorization or permits.
In a second operation, the FIA arrested Fazal Din for running an unauthorized internet service. A case was registered against him under the Pakistan Telecommunication Act.
During the raid, officials seized technical equipment and network hardware used to distribute the illegal connection. A technical team from PTA assisted FIA personnel throughout the operation.
