Epic Games may be planning a massive nostalgia trip for this year’s Winterfest. According to recent rumours, Home Alone is the next major franchise to enter the Fortnite metaverse. Recent leaks suggest that the iconic “Wet Bandits” are coming to the game very soon.
Reportedly, Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern) will appear as skins for the 2025 holiday season. The source claims that the two burglars from the original movie are the primary focus of this collaboration.
However, players should manage their expectations. The leaker explicitly advised the community to take this information “with a grain of salt”, despite trusting the source. If true, these skins would join a massive roster of existing holiday favourites like Sgt. Winter, Polar Peely, and Jack Skellington, who was added in 2023.
Fans will immediately notice one glaring omission: Kevin McCallister. The leak makes no mention of the franchise’s protagonist. This exclusion is likely due to technical limitations within Fortnite.
Kevin is a child under ten years old in the first two films. Epic Games maintains strict standards regarding character hitboxes to ensure fair competitive play. A small child model would offer an unfair advantage. While developers have adjusted characters like Peter Griffin (buffed build) or Morty (mech suit) in the past, a realistic child character does not fit these workarounds.
If the Wet Bandits are indeed coming, they will arrive soon. The leak targets the current Winterfest window. Based on typical release schedules, players can expect holiday bundles to drop in late November or throughout December.
While a Kevin skin seems impossible, speculation suggests Epic might include nods to the character, such as a “Talkboy” back bling. For now, players should prepare to potentially face off against Harry and Marv on the Island.
