Fortnite x Honkai Star Rail Teased: Kafka & Blade Skins Confirmed?

Published by

Epic Games has officially teased a brand-new collaboration between Fortnite and the popular sci-fi RPG Honkai: Star Rail. The announcement appeared as an image on the Epic Games Store’s social media, catching fans completely off guard.

The teaser image features a pair of swords stuck in the ground. Furthermore, the caption references “trailblazing”, a clear nod to the HoYoverse title. While Fortnite often collaborates with major franchises, this partnership marks an unexpected shift for the battle royale.

Kafka, Blade & The Trailblazer Likely Joining

The teaser content provides strong hints about upcoming skins. The swords depicted in the image suggest that fan-favourite characters Kafka and Blade will join the game. Additionally, the “trailblazing” caption likely points to the inclusion of the Trailblazer, the game’s main protagonist.

Currently, Epic Games has not detailed the full content list or a specific release date. However, this crossover arrives during Fortnite’s ongoing Chapter 7 Season 1. This season already features collaborations with South Park, The Office, and Kizuna Ai.

Timing & Future Updates

This collaboration aligns with a massive period for Honkai: Star Rail. HoYoverse is gearing up to launch the Version 4.0 update on February 14. This update introduces “Planarcadia”, the fifth playable world, alongside new characters Yao Guang and Sparxie (a variant of Sparkle). The RPG also celebrates its third anniversary on April 26.

Meanwhile, Fortnite is approaching the end of its season, which runs through March 5. Players are currently engaging with a Fall Guys “Crown Jam” LTM, available until February 9.

Fortnite Fans Speculate on Future HoYoverse Collabs

The community is buzzing with speculation. Many fans are shocked that Honkai: Star Rail received a crossover before Genshin Impact, HoYoverse’s flagship title. Consequently, rumours suggest that Zenless Zone Zero could fit well in Fortnite due to its modern, urban setting.

Beyond HoYoverse, leaks hint at even more content. Reports suggest upcoming collaborations with Ben 10, Solo Leveling, and Blizzard’s Overwatch later this year. For now, all eyes are on the upcoming arrival of the Astral Express crew.
