Sucker Punch Productions has officially announced the first major content drop for Ghost of Yotei. Following its successful launch in early October, the hit PlayStation 5 title is receiving a significant update. Senior Communications Manager Andrew Goldfarb confirmed via the PlayStation Blog that the highly anticipated patch arrives on November 24, 2025.
This free update (Patch 1.100.000) focuses heavily on replayability. It allows fans to restart their journey with all their power intact while offering a glimpse into the franchise’s multiplayer future.
Starting November 24, players who have completed the main campaign can dive into New Game Plus (NG+). This mode lets you replay Atsu’s quest for vengeance from the very beginning. However, you will retain all armour, abilities, and weapons from your previous run.
Sucker Punch has added fresh incentives to justify a second playthrough. The update introduces a new currency called Ghost Flowers. Players can exchange these flowers at a new mysterious vendor for exclusive rewards. These rewards include:
Furthermore, veteran players can test their skills with two new difficulty options. These settings offer a significantly harder challenge than the base game. Trophy hunters will also find two additional trophies to unlock during their NG+ run.
Beyond the campaign restart, the update stabilises the experience and adds requested quality-of-life features. Notably, players can now replay specific content during the post-game without restarting the story. A new Stats Screen will also allow you to track your gameplay metrics extensively.
For virtual photographers, Ghost of Yotei is expanding its toolkit. The Photo Mode now features shutter speed controls, a composition grid, and additional filters. Additionally, accessibility has been improved with new options, including the ability to remap directional buttons.
While this month’s update focuses on single-player content, Sucker Punch also teased the future. The developer confirmed that Ghost of Yotei Legends will launch in 2026.
This fan-favourite multiplayer mode will arrive as a free update. It will feature multiple classes, two co-op story missions, and four survival-style missions. In these scenarios, players will battle demonic versions of the “Yotei Six”. More details on the specific classes will be revealed closer to the 2026 release window.
