Google’s Bangladesh domain came under attack today by some Pakistani hackers. The said hackers altered the domain address in BTCL’s DNS entry to redirect users to a custom page.

The hackers identified themselves as Team Pak Cyber Attacks and they left the message that “security is just an illusion”. The hackers didn’t try to be too discreet in their operations. The custom page clearly displayed the identity of the hacker with the message: “Struck by Faisal 1337”. It also included a link to the hacker’s Facebook page along with his email ID.

Remedy by Google

Google quickly redirected the users accessing the Bangladesh page to their international search home. In the meanwhile, BTCL has fixed the malicious entry introduced in their system to restore access to the site.
