Google officially launched its Personal Intelligence feature in Pakistan on Wednesday, bringing AI-powered personalized assistance to users after initially introducing the capability in the United States earlier this year.
The feature allows Gemini to connect with apps including Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube, and Search to provide tailored responses based on individual user data. Users control which apps to link, and the system is designed to reason across complex information sources while retrieving specific details from emails or photos to answer queries.
Personal Intelligence is powered by Gemini 3, which Google describes as a significant advancement in understanding nuance. The AI can distinguish between generic requests and those requiring personal history, making it more capable than standard chatbots that lack individual context.
Google emphasized privacy protections in the rollout, noting that app connections are disabled by default and users must actively choose which services to link. The company stated that connected data remains within Google’s existing security infrastructure rather than being transmitted to external systems, and users can disconnect apps or delete chat history at any time.
Gemini provides source references for answers drawn from connected apps, allowing users to verify information. Users can also correct responses directly or regenerate answers without personalization for specific conversations. The system includes guardrails designed to avoid proactive assumptions about sensitive topics like health, although it will discuss such data when users initiate the conversation.
Google acknowledged that the beta version may produce inaccurate responses or “over-personalization,” where the model makes unintended connections between unrelated topics. The company encouraged users to provide feedback through thumbs-down ratings when encountering errors.
The feature is initially available to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers in Pakistan, with expansion to free users planned for coming weeks. Personal Intelligence functions across web, Android, and iOS platforms with all models in the Gemini model picker.
Users can activate the feature by opening Gemini settings, selecting Personal Intelligence, and choosing which apps to connect.
