Google has launched its November Pixel Feature Drop, bringing a host of new features and improvements to eligible Pixel devices. The update introduces AI-powered tools, enhanced customization options, and refined device management features.
One of the standout additions is the new Remix feature in Google Messages. Powered by Google’s Nano Banana image generation model, Remix lets users edit and recreate images directly within the app.
The update also brings AI-generated summaries for notifications from messaging apps. These summaries condense lengthy conversations into brief, readable notifications. Starting in December, low-priority notifications will be automatically grouped and silenced, helping users manage alerts more efficiently.
Pixel owners will also find new customization options with the ‘Wicked: For Good’ theme packs. The packs include unique wallpapers, icons, GIFs, and system sounds. Users can choose from the For Good, Glinda, and Elphaba themes.
Google is expanding its Scam Detection feature to messaging apps. The tool now analyzes chat notifications in real time, displaying warnings for potentially suspicious conversations.
The update introduces a Power Saving Mode in Google Maps, currently available for the Pixel 10 lineup. Pixel VIPs will also receive enhanced perks, such as priority notifications and a crisis badge in the Contacts widget.
Google Photos is receiving an AI-powered editing feature that uses other photos of the same person in the gallery to refine images more naturally. Additionally, according to the Google blog post, updates include an improved Magic Cue on Pixel 10, the Pixel Journal app on Pixel 8 and Pixel 9 devices, a Device Health and Support hub for Pixel 6 and later, and the Magnifier app for Pixel Fold phones.
