The federal government has approved Rs. 567.032 million for security arrangements for the Reko Diq mining project in Balochistan.
The approval was granted by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) during a meeting chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb on Monday.
According to the approved proposal, the funds will be used to cover security charges payable to the Headquarters Frontier Corps Balochistan (South) for the Reko Diq project.
The allocation is intended to support security arrangements around the major mining development as project-related activities continue in the province.
Reko Diq is one of Pakistan’s major mining projects and is being developed in Balochistan. The project is expected to play an important role in the country’s mining sector and contribute to economic activity in the province.
The latest funding approval reflects the government’s continued focus on ensuring security arrangements for strategic development projects.
