GPT-4.5 Preview Now Available for Pro Users and Developers

The newest artificial intelligence model from OpenAI, GPT-4.5, was unveiled on Thursday and is already accessible to developers and Pro users throughout the world. The company hopes to make it available to a wider audience in the next weeks.
The business claimed that GPT-4.5 revealed higher levels of emotional intelligence, could come up with novel ideas without reasoning, and had an enhanced capacity to spot patterns.
OpenAI, which is supported by Microsoft, announced that GPT-4.5 will be available to ChatGPT Plus and Team users next week, followed by Enterprise and Edu users the following week.
CEO Sam Altman referred to it as “a giant, expensive model,” stating that the company’s GPU capacity was insufficient to roll out to user tiers simultaneously.
“We will add tens of thousands of GPUs next week … this isn’t how we want to operate, but it’s hard to perfectly predict growth surges that lead to GPU shortages,” he said on the X post.
GPT-4.5 is ready!

One typical problem with large language models is that they can provide incorrect information; OpenAI noted that this model has a lower rate of “hallucinations” than their competitors. In comparison to GPT-4o (61.8%) and its o1 thinking model (44%), GPT-4.5 (37.1%) has a lower rate of hallucinations.
GPT-4.5 can handle writing and coding tasks, as well as file and image uploads, but it lacks support for more advanced capabilities like voice and video at the moment.
