The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has launched a three-day training program on Applied Artificial Intelligence for university administrators, aiming to improve management, efficiency and digital capabilities across higher education institutions.
The program, being conducted through HEC’s National Academy of Higher Education from October 7 to 9, is designed for university officials in BPS-17, 18 and 19, including assistant registrars, deputy registrars, controllers, treasurers and other administrative staff.
Universities can nominate up to five suitable officers, with preference given to the top two nominees if seats are limited. The training will focus on practical applications of AI in admissions, examinations, record management and other administrative functions.
HEC said similar training programs will later be organized at its regional centres in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta as part of efforts to promote digital transformation and strengthen governance and service delivery in higher education.
