Tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo claimed that the iPhone SE 4 aka iPhone 16e will be unveiled soon and positioned as Apple’s cheapest iPhone. The device will be equipped with a 6.06-inch full-HD+ LTPS OLED display, featuring a refresh rate of 60Hz. The display is reported to feature a notch design. The device may provide support for Face ID functionality. It is plausible that it may operate on Apple’s A18 Bionic microprocessor, similar to the recently released iPhone 16.
Rumours suggest that the upcoming iPhone SE 4 will feature a single 48-megapixel rear camera. It is likely to have a metal middle frame and a waterproof build. The upcoming device is anticipated to include a 3279 mAh battery, boasting fast charging capabilities at 20W, along with wireless charging support of 15W for both MagSafe and Qi2.
Additionally, another Weibo tipster Smart Pikachu corroborated claims about a single rear camera in the iPhone SE 4. He suggested that the device will ‘feature Apple’s in-house developed baseband’. This could be a reference to 5G modem developed by Apple.
Reports indicate that the upcoming iPhone SE 4 from Apple will feature options for 6GB and 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Anticipated highlights include an aluminium frame along with a USB Type-C port.
